Society for Equine-Assisted Services Nova Scotia

SEASNS

Education: Our therapeutic riding programs, help kids, especially those with mental and physical challenges, improve communication and cognitive skills.

Well-Being: We see EAS ease physical challenges, like spasms or atrophy, and lift emotional and mental health. At Hinchinbrook, we’ve watched kids like Kirklind, who’s non-verbal and autistic, find peace and joy on horseback.

Connection to Nature: Our outdoor settings, like Hinchinbrook’s trails and paddocks, help people connect with nature, fostering a love for the environment that lasts a lifetime, as research shows.

Cultural Inclusion: We welcome all cultural groups, building on Hinchinbrook’s inclusive space where diverse families find community and belonging.

Healthy Communities: We believe EAS helps everyone reach their fullest potential, following Hinchinbrook’s approach of meeting people where they are, creating vibrant, inclusive communities.

We’ve served countless children and families over our years at the Blockhouse location, and now we’re reaching even more through our partners.
